Upstanding Care starts with the patient.
Based off of your symptoms, necessary assessments will be conducted to guide the appropriate course of care. In the case it is indicated to improve your wellbeing, an adjustment will be performed as part of your treatment plan. The purpose of a spinal adjustment is to return the spine to a natural state of health and to reduce pain, muscle spasms, and nerve irritation, so you can enjoy your life pain free.
Other joints, like the shoulder for example, may be adjusted to improve mobility, alleviate pain, and restore joint space integrity (tribonucleation).
Automatic flexion/distraction technique has been proven to alleviate low bad pain and symptoms associated with sciatica, ask us about this technique!
Chiropractic care may also include soft tissue work, nutrition counseling, blood labs, injury rehabilitation, and referral to other healthcare providers.

Dr. Matthew Upchurch Chiropractor, started developing the concept of Upstanding Care after a number of bad experiences as a patient. These encounters left him wondering if the patient-doctor experience could be more of a team effort, a collaboration that placed responsibility on both parties. Upstanding Care is about the patient first and doing what is necessary to provide the upmost care possible, to be Upstanding. This requires the doctor to continually educate on the latest sciences, techniques, and protocols while being a gateway referral resource for the patient to other qualified doctor specialties. Dr. Upchurch values teamwork, as a prior collegiate athlete he thrived under the most extreme physical circumstances; this prepared him for the United States Navy. In the USN, teamwork, again provided structure escalating his capabilities beyond his expectations.

With this in mind, know that you have chosen the right teammate for your healthcare, wellness, and fitness needs. Here’s to YOU, US, and being Upstanding .
